Mergers

Image
This photo has 2 mergers. The first merger is that the fence looks like it's connected to him, and the second merger is the bright color of the firefighters in the background.

Framing

Image
This photo has framing involved because the hole in the building acts as a frame, and you can see the firefighter climbing a ladder through the frame.

Balance

Image
This photo has balance because the colors of the explosion looks good with the contrast of the color of the buildings and the sky.

Lines

Image
This photo has lines involved because the lines of the building contrast off of each other which leads your eyes to the man in the middle of the photo.

Rule of thirds

Image
This picture uses rule of thirds because the subject of the photo, the man, is at the bottom left of the picture, so you can see the background.

Simplicity

Image
This picture uses simplicity because you can clearly see that he's the subject of the picture, and he doesn't blend in with anything in the background.

First day photos

I liked this picture a lot because I thought it looked coo with all the branches all over the place. Also,  I liked that you can still see part of the buildings so if you're seeing this photo for the first time, you can see that it was taken at Bowie.  Finally, I like this picture because when I first took it I though that the picture would turn out really bad, but it turned out pretty good. I liked this picture for a few reasons. First, I like it because the angle I took it from makes it so you can see her and the sky. Also, I liked this picture because it looks like the sun is shining directly on her.

The Camera

1. The camera obscura is where light is projected through a tiny hole to portray an image on the other side of the hole. 2. In the 17th century, glass lenses were invented to help mankind get closer to the modern camera. 3. Niepce invented film which contributed to the modern camera. 4. Digital cameras are similar to film cameras because they both have light that passes through the lens into the camera. 5. Digital cameras capture the images using an electronic sensor called CCD. 6. In auto mode, the camera completely controls the flash and exposure. In program mode, you can control flash and a few other camera settings. 7. Portrait mode is used for pictures of a specific item, and it blurs out the background. 8. Sports mode is used to capture something in motion by using the fastest shutter speed possible. 9. The photographer must set the shutter and the aperture. 10. You should half-press the trigger button so that you have faster response time, more control over focus, and i

Welcome to my blog

I took photo 1 for a few reasons. However, I took this class because I would like to study film and make movies, so I want to learn about cameras and how to take pictures.
