Big topic that is talked about a lot is whether social media is good or bad. Social Media is a way to show people pictures of yourself, your thoughts, and be able to express yourself. However, many people believe that social media is a way for kids to bully each other, and it causes kids to become less outgoing, and more insecure. However, I think that social media is harmless, and it’s fine to use. Yes, bullying is an issue, but there are solutions to that. Overall, social media is a great way of communicating to friends, and being able to express yourself. In a way, social media has helped people become more outgoing because they realized they have things in common with people they don’t know. Social media allows people to express themselves. Lyric won her first Student of the Month award yesterday. The Bowie high-school award has only been given out 10 times before. She won the award after "Surviving the anti-vaxxers" she said. The student of the month award was given to Lyric for "Outstanding achievements and work ethic".  The student is given the award by the principal, and a few other staff members. It's given out monthly and the students that receive it are honored. "It feels wonderful, never been better," Lyric said when asked how it feels to win the award. Lyric will continue to work hard to get another student of the month title, and to earn good grades. This title will continue to be sought after by many Bowie students. However, Lyric, among many people, believes there should be a student of the year award. "Yes, it would be me," Lyric said when asked if there should be a student of the year award. "So that the other students know who's boss"

Nut Graf

A nut graf is a way of writing a paragraph for a story. The nut stands means it has the kernel (essential aspects). The graf means paragraph. It's also means the story in a nutshell. It should contain the 5 W's and essential information. Not all stories need it, but it's very important. It shouldn't be longer than 1 paragraph.
