Lyric won her first Student of the Month award yesterday. The Bowie high-school award has only been given out 10 times before. She won the award after "Surviving the anti-vaxxers" she said.
The student of the month award was given to Lyric for "Outstanding achievements and work ethic". The student is given the award by the principal, and a few other staff members. It's given out monthly and the students that receive it are honored.
"It feels wonderful, never been better," Lyric said when asked how it feels to win the award.
Lyric will continue to work hard to get another student of the month title, and to earn good grades. This title will continue to be sought after by many Bowie students. However, Lyric, among many people, believes there should be a student of the year award.
"Yes, it would be me," Lyric said when asked if there should be a student of the year award. "So that the other students know who's boss"
For more information, we decided to interview Lyric's favorite teacher, Mr. Logan. Lyric believes she's his favorite student.
"I do not have a student named Lyric in any of my classes," Mr. Logan said. "I didn't even know she was a student at this school".
Lyric also said that her parents are very proud of her, and that they are her biggest supporters. For more information, we talked to her parents.
"Lyric doesn't even go to Bowie High School," Lyric's father said. "She hasn't gone to public school since elementary school," He continued, "She's homeschooled".
However, Lyric is sure that she should be student of the month, and that she deserves the award. She seems to think that she goes to Bowie, despite never going to public. She even says she’s won this award before.
“Of course not,” Lyric said when we asked if this is her first award.
The strange thing is...she has won this award before. This is her 3rd time winning this award even though nobody knows who she is. This is one of the biggest Bowie High School mysteries the school has ever seen, and everyone is baffled how she’s won this award before...much less three times. Finally we asked her if she plans on going to college.
