1. I chose this image because It's a very famous pose of Michael Jordan, who's one of my favorite basketball players.
2. This photo is the most famous silhouette ever captured. The photographer, Jacobus Rentmeester, captured a picture of Michael Jordan soaring through the air about to dunk the ball with his legs split.
3. Nike wanted a logo for Michael Jordans new Air Jordan sneakers. So, they contacted Rentmeester, and offered to pay him $150 for temporary use of his slides. Soon, this was one of the biggest logos around the world.

5. Jacobus Rentmeester was born in 1936 in Amsterdam. In 1959, won bronze at the European rowing championship, and in 1961, he went to the Art Center College in Los Angeles.
