1. I picked this image because I was wondering what was happening in this picture because people were carrying a gorilla.
2. In this picture people are carrying a silverback gorilla, Senkwekwe, in the air. Before this picture was taken, a fight broke out between park rangers and people illegally harvesting wood. During this fight, the gorilla, Senkwekwe, was unfortunately killed.
3. The picture is supposed to represent the fact that although the gorilla isn't a human at all, he looks like a human in the picture because he's being carried off in a stretcher. After this photo was published, 9 African countries signed a binding treaty to protect the gorillas.
